01Who we are

Elevated Rentals ("we", "us", "our") hires specialised lifting equipment — including Tractel Minifor hoists, Tirak traction hoists, Yale chain hoists and certified elevator test weights — to businesses across Australia. Our director is Brenden Healy.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of the people we deal with. This policy sets out how we handle personal information, and is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

02What personal information we collect

We only collect information we actually need to quote for, arrange and manage an equipment hire. That typically includes:

We do not seek to collect sensitive information (such as health, biometric or government identifier details) through this website. Please do not include it in the "Project Details" field of our enquiry form.

03How we collect it

Wherever it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you. That happens when you:

• Submit the enquiry form on this website;
• Call or text us on 0401 460 688;
• Email us at info@elevatedrentals.com.au;
• Enter into a hire agreement or arrange delivery with us; or
• Browse this website, where limited technical information is collected automatically (see section 5).

Occasionally we may collect your details from someone else — for example, where a site supervisor books equipment on behalf of a colleague, or where a business contact refers you to us. If that happens and you would prefer we did not hold your details, tell us and we will delete them.

04Why we collect and use it

We use personal information to:

• Respond to enquiries and prepare quotes;
• Arrange, deliver, service and collect hire equipment;
• Verify who is taking possession of equipment, and manage safety and compliance obligations relating to lifting equipment;
• Invoice you and manage payment;
• Keep records we are required to keep by law, including for taxation purposes;
• Measure how our website and advertising perform, so we can improve them; and
• Send you information about our equipment or rates, where you would reasonably expect us to and where you have not opted out.

If you choose not to give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to quote for or fulfil your hire.

05Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small file stored on your device that lets a website recognise your browser.

Google Ads

We use Google Ads conversion tracking and, where enabled, remarketing. These tools use cookies to record when a visit to our site follows a click on one of our ads, and to measure actions such as clicking our phone number or submitting the enquiry form. They may also allow us to show our ads to you on other websites after you have visited ours.

Google Analytics

Where enabled, Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — which pages are viewed, how long people stay, and where they arrived from.

Google Fonts

This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google when the page loads.

Google reCAPTCHA

Our enquiry form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell real customers apart from automated spam. It collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Your choices

• You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
• You can manage how Google personalises ads to you at myadcenter.google.com.
• You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not allow third parties to collect information through our site for their own unrelated marketing purposes.

06Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may disclose it to:

• Transport and freight providers, so equipment can be delivered to and collected from your site;
• Our accountant and payment providers, for invoicing and payment processing;
• Technology providers who host our website, email and business records;
• Advertising and analytics providers, principally Google, as described in section 5;
• Our professional advisers and insurers, where reasonably necessary — for example following an incident involving hired equipment; and
• Regulators, courts or law enforcement, where we are required or authorised by law to do so.

07Overseas disclosure

Some of the service providers we rely on store or process data outside Australia. In particular, Google — which provides our advertising and analytics tools — processes data in the United States and other countries.

Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy and with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you hire equipment from us for a project outside Australia, we may also need to disclose your details to freight, customs or logistics providers in the destination country.

08How we store, secure and retain it

Personal information is held in our email system, business records and accounting software. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls, password protection and reputable service providers.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of anything you send us over the internet.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires. Business and taxation records are generally kept for a minimum of five years in line with Australian Taxation Office requirements. Records relating to lifting equipment hire and any safety incident may be kept longer where that is prudent. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it.

09Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Email info@elevatedrentals.com.au or call 0401 460 688.

We will need to verify your identity before releasing information. We aim to respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request, though we may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of supplying information in some circumstances. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.

10Direct marketing

If you have hired from us or enquired with us, we may occasionally send you information about our equipment, availability or rates. Every marketing message we send will include a way to opt out.

You can tell us at any time that you no longer want to hear from us by replying to any message or emailing info@elevatedrentals.com.au. We will action it promptly. Opting out of marketing does not stop us contacting you about a hire that is currently on foot.

11Data breaches

If we become aware of unauthorised access to, or disclosure or loss of, personal information we hold, we will assess it promptly and take steps to contain it. Where a breach is likely to result in serious harm and the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies to us, we will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.

12Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first. Email info@elevatedrentals.com.au with the details and we will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always published at this address, with the date it was last updated shown at the top of the page. Material changes will be made clear on the page.
